Healthy Tips for a Healthy QSS-30-Series Machine
The key to a good business is keeping our machine clean and well ventilated. This is another way of cutting our expenses short and increasing efficiency and productivity.
Cleaning tips
- Cleaning the air filters.
- Remove all air filters at the scanner unit, printer section and processor section of the machine.
- Remove the dirt and dust accumulated in the surface of the filters using a vacuum cleaner. If the dust is not removed, place the dust-accumulated surface down and wash it with running water (do not rub the surface of the air filters when washing and after four to five times of washing, replace it with a new one).
- Return the air filter as it was.
- Cleaning the lamp house and the light path.
- Remove the lamp house cover and the scanner lamp (check that at least 15 minutes have elapsed since the lamp was turned off).
- Clean the reflector of the scanner lamp and the heat absorbing glass.
- Returned the scanner lamp and the lamp house cover as it was.
- Removed the AFC from the scanner unit.
- Using a blower brush clean the light guide and the dust prevention glass of the scanner unit. After which, wipe it off using a cleaning sheet.
- Reattach the AFC as it was and perform daily set up.
- Cleaning the 135/240 AFC
- Remove the AFC from the scanner unit.
- Open the AFC and release the lock to open the film path.
- Clean the film path for both 135 and 240-lane.
- Release two lock levers and open the magnetic head unit found in the 240-lane.
- Wipe all the dust using a soft cloth.
- Perform AFC cleaning using the cleaning leader for both 135 and 240-lane (press F - Menu - AFC Cleaning).
- Cleaning the exposure advance section
- Check that no paper is currently being process.
- Open printer doors 1 and 2. Clean the dust proof glass by moving the brush unit back and forth slowly.
- After which, remove the guide cover of the brush unit and clean the brush unit with a blower brush and a vacuum cleaner.
- Return the brush unit as it was.
- Perform the Cleaning the Focal Plane Regulating Guide (press F - Menu - Cleaning the Focal Plane).
- Remove the focal plane-regulating guide and clean it with a blower brush and/or a vacuum cleaner.
- Return the focal plane-regulating guide as it was and close printer door 1 and 2.
- Cleaning the upper guides and the processing racks.
- Turn off the power supply. Make sure that no paper is being processed.
- Remove the upper turn guides from the main tank. Soak upper turn guide 2-6 in clean water. Thoroughly clean the upper turn guide 1 and the squeegee unit and let it dry.
- Remove the processing rack from the main tank.
- Clean them thoroughly in running water then let it dry.
- After which, return each unit one by one as it was.
Cleaning can be hard but it's easier compared to the trouble dirt, dust and a like can cause to our machines. So keep it a habit to make our machines dirt-free and experience the worry-free business.
